I had no idea how my legs were feeling after a week of cycling (Tour of Good Hope) plus fitting in some Ironman training, such as a 2hr run the day before, so I was just going to see if I could push myself to do a decent time.
Within the first few kays I quickly realised my legs had set a power max; not great for a road cycling race where you have to surge!
I decided to just enjoy the scenery and cycle the best I could with my tired legs. It was great to have some friendly chats along the way and still finish in a fairly decent time.
