The time has finally come and I am off to Kona for the Ironman World Championships! Eeeek!!! Feeling quite nervous but also very excited!
I will keep you all updated via faceboook and twitter. I apologise in advance for all the selfies! I have a week to acclimatise before the race whilst trying to enjoy the taper period!
I have been overwhelmed by everybody’s generosity in getting me to Kona. Thank you to my sponsors (Gundle, 32Gi, Celtic Bicycle Wheels, New Balance SA, BellaMatata, Cyclefunatic) and everyone who bought lucky draw tickets. I am so very grateful and I hope to have an awesome race and make you all proud! I couldnt have got there without you all! I have the most fantastic friends to train with which has been invaluable to my path to Kona. Dave, my coach, has got me to a level of fitness I have never been before. And Pierre has given me support, time to train (and sleep!) and understood the importance of my focus. Thank you everyone!
